Mission is one of the game modes in SP. It is popular among koreans because it gives very good points/exp and most importantly GUILD POINTS.
Many korean guilds in SP rely on the guild points from mission to capture servers. One of the guilds that do so is the guild i'm currently in.
Recommended items for mission
- Wind items are a nono! They consume too much MP and do too little damage. Use them when you are fighting other players.
- Axes. All element axes are fine except wind. Axes are the best melee weapons to use in mission. Damage up axes would be preferred.
- Staffs. Same as above. As long as its not a wind staff it's good enough for mission. Both MTD / Damage up staffs are okay.
- Bows. Water bows are the best.(You won't need these until you are in S1 or above..you basically use them with warren)
- Any type of magic other than wind is fine.
Do I have to get avatar items for mission?
Actually,YES. You might not need to use avatar when you are around LVL 150+ but you will need them later. Avatar is used mostly when you use staff because of the big spread the hand cannon gives which is really useful.
What avatar items should I buy?
HEAD - Magic cap for more MP / Santa magic cap or Iron Helm for more HP
BODY - Magic robe gives higher turn speed max speed, plate armor gives higher turn speed acceleration, and leather armor gives a bit of both. My opinion is magic robe is the best because the base turn speed acceleration is so fast anyway it doesn't need to be increased any further. And Santa magic cap gives the same HP boost as panda helmet and iron helm as well as a dramatic BP boost, so it's either magic cap or santa magic cap, or get both -(Thanks grey)
SHOES - Leather boots - Less BP used / Silver boots - Gives more ACCEL / Steel boots - Gives more speed.
WEAPON - Arme blanche and Hand cannon preferred. Other avatar weapons are just..not as good.
Monsters
All the monsters in mission are the same as the monsters in quest. Just that they are a bit stronger and probably have more HP. As you progress through mission their HP and RANK increases. Rank determines how hard the monster is and also how much HP they have. A higher ranked monster in mission would mean that it has higher HP and would be harder to kill(they attack faster / move faster etc). Additionally, some monsters in mission are resistant to either melee, ranged or magic attacks. Once you reach Lvl 130+ in mission monsters start to have dual resistance, meaning they can be resistant to both melee and ranged or magic and melee attacks or ranged and magic attacks. This does not that much until you are pretty high level in mission.

What scrolls should be bought?
It really depends. Having a protection scroll or two would be helpful though. I generally prefer to take 1MP/1BP/1 Protection(or teleport) scroll most of the times.
What characters should be used?
LUCY AND LUCY AND LUCY OR AVATAR. Lucy is the best character to use if you are not using avatar simply because she can heal!
Separating monsters(S1-150 UP)
There is a need to separate the monsters once you reach S1-150 or higher because once you run out of time, the monsters(even those that you didn't hit)will start coming to you which makes beating the stage close to impossible. If you separate them into two groups, for example all the monsters that are resistant to melee and magic into group A and monsters that are resistant to ranged and magic into group B,you won't have to use different attacks all the time and the monsters won't come to you when you run out of time. To separate them, you need 2 people.
1 person will be in charge of attacking all the monsters and bringing them to one corner of the map, then leave and rejoin. The 2nd person will have to rejoin the game after the first person rejoins. Then repeat the above step until all the monsters are separated into 2 groups.
What changes every time you beat 300 levels of mission?
The rank of the monsters increase, making them harder to beat. The amount of EXP / CODE / GP you gain increases as well.
Well if there is anything i missed out or i'm wrong in any way please tell me..If you have any other questions feel free to ask. I'll answer them if i'm able to.
