This guide (if you even want to call it a guide) intends to reveal all the insights of how mission works. It includes major and important stuff, and also minor stuff like bugs. It's not intended to teach you how to beat the levels, and therefore it doesn't include any tips. Hopefully, after reading, you will have a better understanding of mission, especially if you are new to it.

What is mission?
Mission Impossible 300 (or, in short, mission) is a game mode in Survival Project. It is somewhat similar to Quest mode, but it has many features that make it particularly interesting.
Mission facts
Mission is played with up to 8 players that team up to kill monsters.
Mission has the concept of levels. When you beat a level, you advance to the next level. However, if you beat a level that is not the level you're not supposed to be beating, your level remains unchanged.
The points and code that you earn after beating a level is influenced by a random variable called Lucky Point. Lucky Point can be x1, x2, x3, x5, or x10, the most common being x2 and x3, and the rarest being x10.
Each level has up to 32 monsters divided into up to 8 groups, and one slime.
The monsters may have resistances. There are 3 types of resistances: melee resistance (represented by an icon of a sword on the monster), arch resistance (represented by an icon of a bow on the monster), and magic resistance (represented by a red and orange icon on the monster). Each monster may have up to 2 resistances. When you hit a monster using a resisted attack, it deals less than normal damage, varying between 10% and 90% damage, depending on the level. Monsters that have resistances also suffer much less knockback when hit by a player, compared to monsters that don't have resistances.
As soon as a monster's HP decreases below 69%, 38% or 7%, its rage activates for a period of 3.5 seconds. During that period, the monster is immune to damage and has golem skin.
In addition to monsters, there are also ghosts (Death, Phantom and Burning Soul). Ghosts always follow the player that is closest to them.
The map is divided into 3 parts: the start area, the monsters area, and the finish area. The start area and the monsters area are separated by a passage (let's call it the start passage). Same for the monsters area and the finish area (let's call it the end passage).
The level is complete as soon as see the "Mission Clear!!" message. That message appears when some player crosses the end passage after beating all monsters.
There is a bar on the top of the screen that represents time (somewhat). It starts counting down as soon as someone crosses the start passage. Certain events are triggered by that bar. Monsters losing HP or dying makes the bar run faster. Having more players in the room also makes the bar run faster.
When the bar reaches below 75%(to be confirmed), people who join the game afterwards won't be able to play or get points/code. But they will still be able to level up if they are present when the level gets cleared.
When the bar comes down to 0%, ghosts start to appear. Every 17.5 seconds, one ghost spawns on a random position in the map. There can never be more than 33 monsters in the map, and that applies to ghosts too. So, for example, if there are 10 monsters alive and 23 ghosts, no more ghosts will appear until one of the monsters dies.
Monsters can be in one of 3 states: "asleep", "awake", and "on a rampage". Monsters that are asleep are standing still, with a "zzz" icon on their head. Monsters that are awake are standing still, with a "!" sign on top of their head. Monsters that are on a rampage are not standing still.
All monsters start up asleep. When you move close to them, they wake up. When some monster that is on a rampage moves close to them, they wake up. When a ghost that has previously been attacked by a player moves close to them, they wake up. When a monster is attacked by a player, it wakes up and goes immediately on a rampage. When a monster wakes up, the other monsters of its group that are close to it (about 300 pixels or less) also wake up. When the bar comes down to 50%, all the monsters that were already awake go on a rampage. When a monster goes on a rampage, it starts following the person responsible for waking them up. When all the players who had crossed the start passage die or leave the room, all monsters go back to sleep.
When a player joins the room, the monsters' positions on his/her screen will be copied from the room host's screen. All monsters will be asleep on the new player's screen until they are attacked or seen by someone. However, if the new player fills a slot that has previously been occupied by someone who had monsters following him/her, then those same monsters will follow the new player on everyone else's screen when the new player crosses the start passage.
Each monster always follows one player for a period of time, which can vary between 15 and 25 seconds. After that period expires, or when the targeted player dies, the monster decides to follow another random(to be confirmed) player from those who have attacked it before.
Levels ending with 5 (examples: 5, 15, 25) are bonus levels - they don't have monsters, only chests. And you don't have to clear them to advance to the next level - you automatically advance to level 6 when you beat level 4. Note that there is a bug in the SP client - if you leave the room right after beating level 4 and don't even put your feet on level 5, the program thinks that you still haven't beaten level 5, and will give you a warning every time you try to join a mission room of level 6. You should just ignore the warning, or reenter the server for it to update your level.
Every 10 levels, the theme is changed. The theme can be dungeon, forest or flame, by this order. Levels 1-10 are dungeon, levels 11-20 are forest, levels 21-30 are flame, levels 31-40 are dungeon, and so on. The gains for beating a level also increases every 10 levels.
Every 30 levels, the number of monsters on each level and the ratio of monsters that have resistances are increased. The damage done by resisted attacks is decreased by 5% (it starts at 90% on level 31, which is the first level with resistances).
Every 300 levels, the levels are repeated over, with some differences: the HP of the monsters and the gains for beating a level are increased.
Levels ending with a 0 (e.g. 10, 20, 30, 100, 110, etc.) are boss levels, which means that they have a boss monster, along with the other regular monsters. In dungeon themed levels, the boss monster is Balrog. In forest levels, the boss is Dark Fairy. In flame levels, the boss is Red Dragon.
Levels ending with a 9 or 0 have a stronger type of monster that isn't present in levels ending with 1-8. In dungeon levels, that monster is Gargoyle. In forest levels, it's Cyclops. In flame levels, it's Efreet. Unlike boss monsters, these monsters can appear in numerous quantities.
The first round of 300 levels is called S0. The second round is called S1, the third round is S2, and so on. S0 levels are written in yellow color, while S1 levels or higher are in red. In the player info window (which appears when you click on the nickname), S0 levels are represented simply by the number of the level, while S1 levels or higher have a prefix that indicates what S is it (e.g. S1-100).
From S0 to S1, there are notable exclusive differences:
In S0, the monsters' rank increases every 10 levels, starting at rank 1 on level 1, up to rank 17 (Star 1) on level 300. (For those who don't know: monsters with higher rank are more aggressive, and therefore harder to beat.) In S1 and up, the monsters' rank is always 20 (King Star) in all levels.
The monsters' resistance in S0 varies from 10% to 70%, while, in S1 and up, it is always 90%.
When Lucy hits a teammate with melee, the teammate recovers a certain amount of HP, MP and BP each second, over a period of 3 seconds (4 times in total). For example, if the axe Lucy is wearing enables her to heal 50 points, then the teammate will recover 200 HP, 200 MP and 200 BP in 3 seconds (50 x 4 = 200), with just one hit from Lucy. If you try to heal during those 3 seconds, it won't have any effect. Healing will only be possible again after the 3 seconds are over.
Warren's headbutt attack isn't considered melee, arch or magic. Therefore, no monster resists it.
When Gargoyles are hit with an attack that inflicts 50 or more damage, they activate a period of invincibility that lasts for 7 seconds. However, Warren's headbutt does not activate Gargoyles' invincibility even when dealing more than 50 damage. Headbutt can also hit through the invincibility, ignoring it and inflicting damage.
When Golems are hit with an attack that inflicts 70 or more damage, there is a 33%(to be confirmed) chance that they will become stunned for 1 second.
Cyclops have a magic resistance of 76.5% by nature.
When someone else hits a monster, the damage that you see in those floating yellow numbers is sometimes fake. For instance, when someone hits Cyclops with magic, the damage that you see is way higher than the actual damage done by the magic.
Because of lag, some of the players' hits might get canceled (or, to be more exact, the damage of the hits is reversed), causing monsters to seem to have regained some HP. If player A hits a monster, and player B hits the same monster before he acknowledges player A's hit, then the damage done by player A's hit is reversed. And this can happen in succession, making all hits to the same monster be consecutively canceled. The higher the lag between players and the shorter the interval between different players' attacks, the higher the chance that some hits will be canceled.
Spreadsheet of all mission levels
I made a spreadsheet with the details of all levels (monsters and resistances), which can be found here:

This spreadsheet obviously was not done by hand. :p

This guide is a reupload from our former CityArel forum. Enjoy. The spreadsheet does not work I'll ask Wiz if he still has it.
