Windows Defender: Adding Exclusions

Due to recent client changes, Windows Defender has started perceiving the Launcher as a virus. However, no other major antivirus does this. Please see the below link of an online virus scan for details.

The following are the steps to add the launcher to exclusions:

Located the Windows Defender icon in your tray that looks like a wall or a shield (see image below).
Double click on the icon to open the program.
Click on settings in the right hand corner (red box in the image below).
This will take you to windows setting page for Windows Defender. Scroll down until you see exclusions and click on it (red box in the image)
In the new window, click the first box with a plus sign that says "Exclude a file" (red box in the image).
Point the program towards your SP installation folder and select "SPGENS_Launcher" and follow through with any system messages, pressing OK.

Note: Alternatively, you can add the whole folder of the installation to the exclusions.
